Muenster teams sweep Graford

MUENSTER — The No. 15-ranked Muenster Lady Hornets finished with five players in double-digits to easily get past Graford Tuesday afternoon by the score of 72-23.

Muenster (12-6) led 18-5 after the first quarter and 31-13 at halftime. The Lady Hornets did not let Graford score more than 8 points in any quarter and outscored them 41-10 in the second half for the win.

Shaina Felderhoff was Muenster’s leading scorer with 15 points while the Lady Hornets got contributions from Taylor Klement and Jackie Klement who each finished with 11 points and Lana Heers and Demi Koelzer who each added 10 points apiece.

Also scoring for the Lady Hornets were Lia Heers with 6 points, Leaha Smith with 4, Emily Hellman adn Delana Rohmer each with 2 and Allison Pagel chipped in 1.

The Muenster Lady Hornets next action will not be until after the holidays when they travel to the Henrietta Tournament on Monday.



Lady Cats roll past Collinsville

CALLISBURG — The Callisburg Lady Cats had 3 players in double figures to help key their win over Collinsville on Monday by the score of 49-20.

Callisburg held a 9-4 lead after the first quarter and outscored Collinsville 21-8 in the second quarter to take a 30-12 lead at halftime.

Callisburg (7-7) outscored the Lady Pirates 19-8 in the second half for the win.

Kalli Byrom led the way for the Lady Cats with 12 points, Amberly Colwell added 11 and Erika Goode finished with 10. Tara Wescoat scored 9 points, Morgan Reed added 5 and Kayla Phelps finished with 2.

For Collinsville, Hailey Harris scored 5 points, Chelsea Petska and Karli Koerner each added 4, Candice Marlin scored 3 while Amy Castillo and Courtney Harville added 2.

Callisburg’s next action will be in the NCTC Holiday Classic beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday.



Hornets pick up win over Graford

MUENSTER — The Muenster Hornets picked up another win Tuesday afternoon against Graford by the score of 45-37.

Muenster took an early 17-6 lead after the first quarter and a 25-18 lead at halftime.

The Hornets strolled along in the second half, outscoring Graford 20-19 for the win.

Eric Hellman led the way for the Hornets with 14 points while Garrett Walterscheid and Jason Luke each finished with 9 points.

Shane Presnall finished with 4, Josiah Flaming had 3 while Scott Porter, Tyler Anderle and Andy Flusche each finished with 2.
