The Callisburg Lady Cats pulled off the upset in the semifinals of the Holiday Classic, fending off the Sacred Heart Tigerettes 59-52 to move into the championship game.
Callisburg used a 17-point second quarter to help take a 29-23 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Callisburg outscored Sacred Heart 30-29 to hang on for the win.
The Tigerettes got as close as 5 points in the final frame, but missed free throws and second-chance opportunities by Sacred Heart helped the Lady Cats squeak into the title game.
Callisburg had three players in double figures with the freshmen tandem of Kallie Byrom and Amberly Colwell scoring 14 points each with Morgan Reed following suit with 12 points.
Others scoring for the Lady Cats were Tara Wescoat with 8 points and Taylor Curtright, Payton Bentley and Emily Westbrook each adding 4.
As for Sacred Heart, the Tigerettes were led by Raynee Hogan with 12 points followed by Sydney Hoedebeck with 9 points and Karli Anderle with 8 points. Others scoring were Rebekah Hesse with 7 points, Kaitlin Hesse and Kristin LeBrasseur each with 6 points and Mikaela Bartsush with 4 points.

Defending tournament champion Lindsay was knocked off Tuesday by the Lady Bulldogs, 45-27, advancing Howe to the championship game once again.
The Lady Bulldogs used constricting man-to-man pressure to cause a bevy of turnovers by Lindsay.
After trailing 18-15 at the half, Howe retaliated in the second half with 30 points to Lindsay’s 9, including just 4 points in the final period of play.
Howe led for most of the first quarter, holding a 7-2 lead until the final minute when the Lady Knights went on a 6-0 to take an early 8-7 lead, but from there, Lindsay scored just 19 points the rest of the way whereas Howe scored 38 points.
For Howe, Ashley Davis paved the way for the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points while Morgan Bailey poured in 14 points. Paige Potter scored 7 points, Katie Courtney added 6, Katie Pelzel scored 2 and Emily Taylor finished with 1.
For Lindsay, Megan Caillier and Jessica Block each led the team with 6 points, Katie Nortman, Katie Dieter and Kristin Martin each chipped in 4 and Allison Metzler and Cammi Neu each scored 3.
Howe will play Callisburg in the title game at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Gainesville Lady Leopards bid for their first win of the season was spoiled by the S&S; Lady Rams in Tuesday’s opener of the North Central Texas College Holiday Classic.
The Lady Rams advanced to the consolation championship with a 42-33 win over Gainesville.
Gainesville led 12-11 after the first quarter, but S&S; battled back in the second quarter to take a 21-16 lead at halftime. The Lady Leopards trailed by 6 points heading into the final quarter, but S&S; pulled away with a 10-7 advantage in the fourth quarter to hold on to the win.
S&S; was led by Rachel Curry who had a game-high 12 points. Following her was Alex Boren with 11. Also scoring for S&S; were Kaitie Hudson with 8 points, Jessica Hix with 6, Sam Bandemir with 4 and Rochelle Adcock with 1.
For Gainesville, Megan Gonzalez led the way for the Lady Leopards with 9 points following by Skye Lynn Ferch with 8. Charisma Tell scored 5 points while Annette Kirk added 4, JaLisa Moore scored 3 and Destini Flowers and Kaitlynn Romans each added 2.

The Collinsville Lady Pirates had contributions from every player on the team in a 56-26 win Tuesday over Forestburg in the consolation bracket.
Collinsville raced out to a 21-4 lead after the first quarter and held a 35-11 lead at halftime.
The Lady Pirates outscored the Lady Horns 21-15 in the second half for the win.
For Collinsville, Amy Castillo scored 9 points while Courtney Harville and Ashley Snow each chipped in 8 points. Chelsea Petska scored 7 points, Brooke Swindle added 6, Sabrina Attaway and Karli Koerner each added 5, Haley Harris finished with 4 and Amanda Adams and Candace Marlin each had 2.
For Forestburg, Monica Huddleston led the way with 19 points, including 4 3-pointers, while Bailey Cody scored 3 and Emily Jones and Ashley Fountain each scored 2.
The Collinsville Lady Pirates next face S&S; in the consolation final today.
