LINDSAY — The Lindsay Knights one-hit the Callisburg Wildcats for a 5-0 win in Saturday’s conclusion of the Lindsay Tournament.
Dax Fleitman finished with 2 for 4 with two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base for the Knights. Ryan Haverkamp finished 1 for 1 at the plate with a run scored and a stolen base.
The Knights took an early 1-0 lead after the first inning and held that advantage through the third inning.
In the fourth, the Knights added a run to stretch their lead to 2-0.
In the fifth, Lindsay tacked three runs and kept the shut out in tack the rest of the way for the win.
The Wildcats mustered just one hit off the bat of Allen Eugster, who was 1 for 2 at the plate. Callisburg also committed three errors while Lindsay went flawless in the field defensively.
The Knights begin district play Tuesday when they travel to Archer City for an 11 a.m. start.
The Wildcats are at home Tuesday against Pilot Point. First pitch is slated for noon.
