Ready for takeoff

— The Sky’s the Limit Balloon Spectacular began Friday morning with a scheduled six balloon ascension at South Ridge subdivision in Lindsay to the Gainesville airport vicinity about three miles north. Four balloons took flight including (left to right) “Beautiful Noise” with Craig Hayes of Garland; “Chuckie” with Glen Carlisle of Midlothian and the ReMax Balloon piloted by Wayne Standefer of Dallas / Fort Worth. The other balloon (not pictured) was “Peaceful World” with Pete and Cathy Carter of Plano. A total of 20 hot air balloons are scheduled to participate in various events throughout the weekend. The festival concludes Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
