Bridge to Hope

The atmosphere was fun and cool, but competitive during the Bridge to Hope Dessert Playday held July 26 at the First Christian Church Christian Life Center.  Players numbered over 100 for the three and half hour event. Sponsored by caring individuals from Lake Kiowa, the event included deuce prizes, door prizes, delicious dessert, silent auction and raffle.  Given in support of the Abigail's Arms Family Crisis Shelter project and scheduled to be an annual event, proceeds from the event totaled $5,600.00.  The 2013 event will be held in late July or early August next year. Committee members for the event include, left to right,  Jan Thompson, Pat Medlin, Anita Morris, Peggy Carpenter, along with Abigail's Arms representatives (seated) Lucy Sutton and Brenda Kitchens.
