— The North Central Texas College horse judging team finished as the 10th high team at the National Reining Horse Futurity Collegiate Judging Contest Nov. 29-30 in Oklahoma City. The NCTC team competed against colleges from across the United States and was one of only two junior colleges to place in the Top 10. The team competed over two days, taking a written test covering the current rulebook, a video penalty clip test and judging two sets of 10 runs of the non-pro Futurity finals. Members of the team include, left to right, Mario Gonzalez, Amy Petry, Tami Gandt, Coach Becky Terrell, Kristen LaRue, Jessi Bowen and Elizabeth MacConnell.
