Library offers downloadable books

Cooke County — Downloadable audiobooks are now available for Cooke County Library patrons through the OneClickDigital program.

This new service is easy to use and gives library patrons access to more than 3,000 audiobooks on their telephone, tablet or computer.

Cooke County Librarian Jennifer Johnson Spence said that funding for the new program was through Friends of Cooke County Library. “They donated $3,000 for the start up costs,” Johnson-Spence said. “For another $500 I can add titles to the 3,000 books on the list.”

Any library patron that has a current borrowing history and no fines, is eligible to download these audiobooks.

To create an account, visit www.cookecountylibrary.org/books-more/downloadable-audiobooks. The library access code is available when you call the library, which is required to create a log in and password.

A patron can check out fout audiobooks at a time, renew an audiobook, return the audiobook when finished, create a hold list and you can search by title, author, narrator or series.

The OneClick Digital app can be downloaded on an Apple, Android, Kindle Fire and Nook. OneClick Digital Media Manager is a free software offered.

An instructional class will be offered at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 26, at the library, 200 S. Weaver St.
