Monday’s regular Gainesville Hospital District Board of Directors meeting included the following actions:
• During his report, Chief Executive Officer Randy Bacus introduced Tommy O’Gorman, the district’s new chief financial officer, and bid appreciation to outgoing interim officer Renae Thomas.
• The board approved a capital expenditure request of $56,255 for a microscope system for the hospital’s ear, nose and throat center.
• The board approved a capital expenditure request of $21,016 for a set of Stanley security lock systems for the hospital’s intensive care unit, surgical unit, emergency room and women’s center.
• The board approved a capital expenditure request for $2,395 for eye surgery equipment.
• The board approved a capital expenditure request for $29,402 for replacement computers for nursing areas throughout the hospital.
• The board approved medical staff initial reappointments for two years for Antonio Asis, MD; Chuong Chau, MD; William Frey, MD; Sophia McFadden, MD; Thomas McGee, MD; Joe Niehus, MD; Charles Phelps, MD; Nathan Wright, DO; and allied health professional reappointments of Jamai Freeman, NP and Jill Fuhrman, NP and terminations of Jacob Barker, CRNA; Drew Castleberry, MD; Andrea Damron, CRNA; Saji John, MD; John McDonald, DO; Charles Owen, MD; Meeta Patel, DO; Heather Walsh, MD; and Muhammad Zulqarnain, MD.
