Gainesville —
Regents of the North Central Texas Community (NCTC) College District voted unanimously to extend the contract of school president Dr. Eddie Hadlock through 2015 at a special meeting Tuesday.
Hadlock was also given the same pay increase of 3 percent that all NCTC full-time staff members received this year.
He has worked at NCTC in various capacities for the past 38 years and was named interim president of the school in 2004, and became the full-time president in 2005.
Hadlock currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Texas Association of Community Colleges. Memberships in professional organizations have included: Texas Association of Community College Chief Student Affairs Administrators, past president; Texas Community College Teachers Association; Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers; and the Texas Community College Instructional Administrators.
In addition, Hadlock has served as a reaffirmation committee member for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
As a committee member, he has participated in reaffirmation visits to 14 different community colleges across the country.
His civic and service activities include the following: Cooke County Campfire Board of Directors, past president; Edison School PTA, past president; Gainesville Kiwanis, past president; Gainesville ISD Educational Excellence Committee, bond election treasurer; and Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, chairman 1997.
All board members were present for Tuesday’s meeting.
