Lindsay High School senior is Eagle Scout

— Chris Bell, son of Ray and Kim Bell of Lindsay will be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in a Court of Honor Sunday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

Eagle Court of Honor ceremony will include presentation of Eagle Rank, Life Saving Award and the Jefferson Davis Leadership Award. Chris is a member of Troop 668, sponsored by First Baptist Church. For his Eagle project, Chris painted the boy’s baseball concession stand and storage room at Leonard Park. Chris is a senior at Lindsay High School in Lindsay.  

His grandparents are Lyndon and Sharry Bell of Little Elm and Bob and Jean Smelcer of Gainesville.

A crew is set to film scenes from the upcoming movie "Windsor" in Gainesville. Pictured, left to right, inside the Gainesville Daily Register press room are first assistant director Terri Martin, unit production manager and line producer Melissa Kirkendall, production designer Adam Dietrich and director, writer, producer Porter Farrell. The Register is one of the sites where the crew plans to film.
