With 20 hot air balloons flying and glowing, musical acts on stage and vendors selling their wares, there will be no shortage of activities during The Sky’s” the Limit Balloon Spectacular” Sept. 7-9 in Gainesville.
Younger festival guests, will find activities tailored specifically to them in the Kidz Zone, located on the south end of the festival grounds.
Activities will include a petting zoo, pony rides, trackless train, bounce houses, bounce slide, temporary tattoo artist, face painting, balloon artist, sno-cones and glow items, plus exhibitions from Frank Buck Zoo and children’s entertainer Steve Gryb of Miami, Fla. Gryb bills himself as “The Pied Piper of Percussion.”
Gryb is an internationally recognized and award-winning multi-percussionist, recording artist, and musicologist with over 30 years experience entertaining audiences of all ages with a wide variety of musical shows. He performs over 150 shows a year.
Gryb will present “The Rhythm is Going to Get You! Show” — an exciting interactive percussion presentation for the young and the young at heart.
The Pied Piper will also bring a unique percussion petting zoo hands-on exhibit with hundreds of musical instruments from around the world like the Wrench-o-phone, the Clatterpillar, and Thunder Tubes.
“It’s fun to make unusual and strange sounds from so many types of instruments,” Gryb said in a news release.
