An all you can eat fish fry sponsored by the Cooke County Aggie Mom’s Club will be held Oct. 5 at the Stark Ranch to benefit the group’s scholarship fund for Cooke County students aspiring to attend Texas A&M University.

The event is one of two fundraisers the group holds each year and according to club president Kitie Hermes. Thirteen $500 scholarships have been given out since the club began in 2006.

“Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 so that we can start to provide four $1,000 scholarships per year to Cooke County youth,” Hermes said.

Live entertainment, a hay ride and dinner will be featured at the fundraiser.

Tickets are $50 each and only 150 tickets will be sold.

Interested parties should contact Kitie Hermes at (940) 284 5621 or KHermes@SelectEnergyServices.com.

Students who would like to be considered for Texas A&M scholarships are urged to talk to their school counselor.
