The purchases were made possible through a recent fundraiser.

Cooke County Fire Support and Rehab team secretary Toni Bartram said her agency would like to express its appreciation for those who supported the organization’s recent fundraiser.

“I really wanted to say that we really appreciated all who donated and wanted to thank everyone who supported and helped us with our dinner and auction,” Bartram said in a news release. “If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t be able to do this for the volunteer fire departments.”

Batram said the support and rehab team purchased more than $3,000 worth of equipment including a much-needed automated external defribrillator.

In addition to the AED, the team also purchased the following items for the department: two Streamlight lanterns, a Biel fire axel tool and sheath, two long handle hoes/rakes, two backpack water pumps and a fire hose.
