According to Pearson, a longtime member of the church, the property was vandalized between Sunday services and Tuesday morning by motor vehicle tracks in the form of muddy “doughnuts” in the front lawn. He said the property is vandalized on average once a year, as there are no neighbors in site of the historic chapel. “Please help keep an eye on Spring Creek Methodist’s property,” Bomar, a friend of the church, said to those who drive the nearby gravel roads. To report crimes contact the Cooke County Sheriff’s Department at 665-3471.
