GORDONVILLE — The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of a plane crash Sunday afternoon in Gordonville.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to investigate the crash around 4 p.m., DPS public information officer Mark Tackett said.
“After take off the engine and propeller detached from the plane and struck an unoccupied house on Glen Oaks Drive,” Tackett noted in an email message. “The plane landed in the back yard of a nearby residence.”
Tackett said pilot Robert Gentry, was taken to Texoma Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Passenger Karen Christian was taken to Medical Center of Plano in serious condition.
The NTSB will continue the investigation, Tackett said.
