Lindsay High School senior Bailey Kuhn was crowned the 2009 Homecoming Queen Friday night.

Kuhn is the daughter of Kyle and Denna Kuhn. She is a member of pep club and FFA. She has played volleyball her freshman, sophomore, and junior years.

The homecoming queen received the honor of being voted class favorite her freshman, sophomore and junior years. She was also the Junior Homecoming Princess. She is a member of St. Mary’s Church.

Her escort was Dax Fleitman, son of Wayne and Cynthia Fleitman.

Other queen candidates included: LHS seniors Abby Anderle, Katie Dieter and Haley Hughes.

Abby Anderle is the daughter of Doug and Brenda Anderle. She is a member of pep club and has spent her high school years participating in basketball, track, volleyball, power lifting and softball.

She was a member of FCCLA and has gone to state in UIL spelling and to regional in UIL accounting. She is Senior Class Secretary, Spanish Club Secretary, FFA Reporter, National Honor Society Secretary and a member of Student Council.

The queen candidate is a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and is involved in ROCK group.

Her escort was Matt Dieter, son of Jeff and Melinda Dieter.

Katie Dieter is the daughter of John and Ginger Dieter. She is a member of pep club and was Sir Henry the Mascot as a sophomore. She has spent her high school years participating in cross country, volleyball, basketball, softball and golf.

She has been a member of FCCLA all four years of high school, attends church at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and is an active youth member.

Her escort was Ryan Haverkamp, son of Tommy and Mayme Haverkamp.

Haley Hughes is the daughter of Richard and Janie Hughes. She is a member of pep club.

The queen candidate has played volleyball and softball her freshman, sophomore, and junior years and plans to play softball in the spring. Hughes won an award for 2nd team in softball. She was class officer her freshman, sophomore, and juniors years and has been a member of National Honor Society for the last two years.

Hughes has been a member of FCCLA all four years of high school. As a senior, she is an officer for FCCLA, a member of FFA, and Spanish club.

She is a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church.

Her escort was Blake Hunter, son of Laura Stults, and Barry and Kelli Hunter.

Freshman princess was Shannah Daymude, the daughter of Shane Daymude and Sharon Whitfield. She is currently representing her school in cheerleading and cross country. She also plays basketball, golf, tennis and run track.

Daymude plans to participate in UIL ready writing, dictionary skills and spelling. She volunteers a lot of her time at All About Flowers and More and is a member of the Callisburg Methodist Church.

Her escort was Chisam Reiter, son of Lloyd and Mary Reiter.

Sophomore princess was Stephanie Zwinggi, the daughter of Steven Zwinggi and Renee Davis. She has been an active member of pep club for the last two years, and was also a cheerleading manager. Stephanie was a member of the state champion One Act Play and went to regionals in UIL spelling. She is currently representing her sophomore class on Student Council. She was vice president of her freshman class.

Her was Cole Hunter, son of Laura Stults, and Barry and Kelli Hunter.

Junior princess was Kailyn Gum, the daughter of Sherri Stewart and Richard Gum. She has been a varsity cheerleader for the last three years in which she was an All-American Cheerleader Nominee each year. Kailyn has also been a member of FCCLA for the last three years. She participated in track and was on the Honor Roll both her freshman and sophomore years. Kailyn is a member of the Science Club. She is a member of Whaley United Methodist Church.

Her escort was Madison Parkhill, son of Michael and Monica Parkhill.
