At the west end of Everglade Court in Gainesville just across the street from the Whaley United Methodist Church parking lot is a house and several trees covered in lights synced to music. Look for the sign to find out what channel to tune your radio to. Lights are on from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday though New Years Eve.
The Ardmore Festival of Lights in Ardmore, Oklahoma, is a free drive-thru light event that spans 1.5 miles in Ardmore Regional Park, 2704 N. Rockford Rd. Lights are nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. through Dec. 30. Donations are appreciated.
A drive-through display laid out by the families of Phil and Larry Clark on Farm-to-Market Road 372 near FM 3496 north of Mountain Springs is a must-see. It’s free to enter but donations are accepted for evangelism efforts with the Navajo. (Video from 2018)
Two houses across the street from each other seem to be competing for top dog in the neighborhood. A Nativity scene and Santa Claus are stationed in the 400 block of Holly Lane. More lights and a doggy display sure to please animal lovers are located in the 2000 block of Wheeler Creek Drive.
