The investigation into a reported December robbery continues, Gainesville Police Department spokeswoman Belva McClinton said Monday, June 10.

“The suspect(s) has not been identified and we are still looking for any information that may lead to their identification,” McClinton said via email.

Gainesville Police Chief Kevin Phillips previously said a 34-year-old Cooke County woman was robbed Monday, Dec. 17, at knifepoint.

The alleged victim was not injured during the incident.

According to archived Register reports, the Gainesville Police Department received a report of a robbery that had occurred in the 800 block of East Main Street at about 11:27 a.m.

When officers arrived, the alleged victim told law enforcement that she was standing by her vehicle when she was approached by a black man wearing a ski mask.

The man reportedly displayed a large knife and demanded the woman’s money, according to police. Authorities did not disclose how much money was taken.

The alleged victim complied with the demand and the reported suspect fled toward a pickup truck where two other black men wearing ski masks were standing, Phillips said.

The three men fled the area in a truck, according to information provided by police.

The pickup was described to police as a black 2000s model Ford F-150 with chrome bed rails.

McClinton said anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police department at 940-668-7777 or through the Crime Tips Hotline at 940-612-0000.
