The jury trial for a Gainesville man facing multiple charges related to sexual abuse of a child is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 6 in the 235th District Court, according to court records.

Andrew Colby Livingston, 33, remained in custody Friday in lieu of $420,000 bail on charges of possession of child pornography, continuous sexual abuse of a child, injury to a child and sexual exploitation of a minor, according to Cooke County Jail records.

In a previous interview with the Register, Gainesville Police Chief Kevin Phillips said the pornography offense occurred in Gainesville.

Last week, the court allowed Jim Hatcher to withdraw as Livingston’s legal counsel.

According to the motion filed with the Cooke County District Clerk’s Office,  Hatcher said he was unable to represent his client due to a “conflict of interest.”

James Moss is Livingston’s new court-appointed attorney.
