A 39-point second half Friday lifted the Collinsville Pirates past Wolfe City 66-54 to improve the Pirates to 9-1 on the season.

Wolfe City led the Pirates 32-27 at halftime, but the offense and the defense for the Pirates began to click as they outscored the Wolves 39-22 in the second half.

Leading the way for Collinsville was Spencer McKnight who finished with a double-double by pouring in a whopping 29 points and hauling in 12 rebounds. He also added 5 steals and 3 assists.

Also scoring for Collinsville were Cory Ragsdale and Kyle Belz who chipped in 15 apiece and John Lewis added 7.

Collinsville’s next action will be in North Central Texas College’s annual Holiday Classic beginning on Dec. 28. The Pirates open up with Sacred Heart in the opening round of the tournament at 7:30 p.m.

Peaster defeats Callisburg

PEASTER — The Callisburg Wildcats fell short to Peaster 46-43 on Friday.

With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 7-4 on the season.

Callisburg begins district play today against Pottsboro.
