Playoff picture changes

The face of the county playoff picture changed radically Monday.

The Muenster boys and girls basketball teams will play a doubleheader Wednesday in Sherman.

The Lady Hornets will take on the ivanhoe Sam Rayborn Lady Rebels at 6:30 p.m. in Bearcat gym.

The Hornets will meet Merit Bland at 8 p.m., also in Bearcat gym.

Also on tap for Wednesday is the Lindsay Lady Knights game against Trenton, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Whitesboro.

Valley View’s Eagles will meet Trenton’s Tigers at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Howe.

Both girls games are Class A Region II quarterfinals, while the boys games are Class A bi-district

The winners of the girls games will advance into the regional semifinals Friday and Saturday at Fort worth’s Wilkerson-Greines gym.

The only way the Lindsay and Muenster girls can meet again, for the fourth time this season, is in the regional finals, scheduled for Saturday at Wilkerson-Greines gym..
