The Saint Jo Panthers were at Trent Saturday playing against the Moran Bulldogs. The game lasted until halftime — due to the six-man 45-point mercy rule — with Saint Jo winning 52-0.

The Panthers started out slow, but turned on the jets to finish out with a bang. Shaden Clark had a big game with 108 rushing yards and another 105 yards through the air. He also threw two touchdowns and ran for four touchdowns.

Aaron Sapp had 72 yards receiving as well as being a defensive ballhawk with 12 tackles. Devin Dixon finished with six tackles and a fumble recovery. Luis Solis also chipped in with six tackles.

The defense combined to score a safety as well as recover two fumbles. The defense also held Moran to two first downs and to 22 total yards of offense.

With the slow start, due to being the first game of the year, came with severel penalties and stalled drives.

But after getting a couple of offensive series under their belts, the Panthers started to come together as a team and looked more impressive, showing why they earned their spot in the playoffs last year.
