Strong passing attack leads SHHS to victory

Sacred Heart made the most of its district opener Friday night,

defeating Covenant Christian 38-14 at home.

The Tigers (3-1, 1-0) raced out  to a 36-7 halftime lead, using a pair

of touchdowns from Kason Reeves, Will Boyd and Hayden Schilling to

pull ahead.

Reeves finished 10-16 for 162 yards, while Schilling led the team with

78 yards rushing to go with a rushing and receiving touchdown.

Isac Walterscheid also added to the scoring, finishing with four

catches for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Sacred Heart kept the Covenant Christian offense in check all night,

surrendering just 245 yards and one touchdown.

The Tigers will continue district play at 7:30 p.m. Friday when they

take on Temple Christian at home.
